If you would open your credit card
statement mail from Sears or Discover, there would be a statement, a
remittance envelope, and maybe some inserts or advertising. My job
responsibility is to prevent you from receiving production errors, such as
damaged or marked statements from reaching you, our client. There are several
procedures that are in place to ensure this is done. The most important
procedure is called the first piece signoff checklist. This checklist is
there as proof that I have checked all parts of the operator's job, from
matching the job in the Bell and Howell inserter with their banner page and
reconcile log to using rate charts to match the right postage for that job. I
check eight different areas on the inserter and initial as proof that FPSO is
complete. I use job starts, which are sheets that give all the information
for the particular job they are running: job name in computer, form number,
outside envelope number, insert's name, number and weight, and other
important information. I also perform random spot checks to find errors as
they are happening and stop them. |
